Codelocks has launched ConnectShare, a new range of smart locks designed to simplify access control and remote management using mobile phones.
The new locks form part of the Codelocks Connect range and introduce enhanced connectivity and features aimed at shared and managed spaces.
ConnectShare locks offer three access methods: user code, RFID card and mobile phone. They can be managed remotely through the Codelocks Connect App, enabling administrators to issue, manage and revoke access credentials from a mobile device.
A key feature is mobile access sharing, which allows administrators to send time-limited credentials directly to a user’s phone. Access can subsequently be revoked, while the system does not require an internet connection at the lock itself.
“Administrators can send a time-bound credential directly to a user’s phone, give them access to a lock, and revoke it at any time,” said Joanne Milne-Rowe, managing director at Codelocks International. “The process is entirely device-to-device, with no hidden subscription fees and no reliance on an internet connection at the lock itself.”
Other features available through the Connect App include NetCode technology for generating date- and time-sensitive codes, GuestCode functionality for temporary users, and Do Not Disturb mode for occupants requiring privacy.
The range also introduces Multi-Admin functionality, allowing responsibility for individual locks to be shared between operators, while Dual Authorisation requires two valid credentials to be presented before access is granted.
ConnectShare is the first range in the Connect portfolio to include an activity log, recording who has accessed a door and when. Codelocks says this makes the locks suitable for environments where sensitive materials or data are stored and access needs to be monitored.
The range comprises the CL4500CC, a medium-duty lock available in latch and mortice configurations, and the CL5500CC, a heavy-duty option supporting latch, lock and panic access. Both are available in Brushed Steel, with the CL5500CC also available in Solid Black.
The locks have undergone independent fire testing to BS EN 1634-1 for 30- and 60-minute timber door sets when installed with a Codelocks FireKit. They have also been performance tested to BS EN 12209.
The ConnectShare range is available now from Codelocks.
